Platform and Distinguished Guests Assembly
Hosted by the RAFAEL PERALTA Commissioning Committee
For VIP's, Donors at Vice Admiral Level or higher, committee members and invited guests only.
First batch of Invitations will be sent via EMAIL EVITE between July 17th and July 21st.
Date/Time:    Saturday, July 29, 2017, 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.
Place:             I Bar, Naval Air Station, North Island
Quentin Roosevelt Boulevard, San Diego, California
Scope:            Stand up continental breakfast
All guests will be briefed at 9:10 a.m. and then transported to Commissioning Ceremony
Dress:            Military Platform Participants:  Full Dress White or service equivalent
Military:  Summer White or service equivalent
Civilian:  Business Attire (Suit or coat and tie)

RAFAEL PERALTA Commissioning Ceremony

YOU MUST RSVP TO GET YOUR TICKETS!!!!  RSVP using the card enclosed in the mailing or email  PeraltaReply@McKean-Defense.com

NOTE: Tickets are currently in the US MAIL for people who have RSVP'd and continuing to be mailed.  Check your mailbox!

** In order for the security process to flow smoothly and for you and your guests to be seated in time for the ceremony, please ensure that you arrive at the site by 8:30 a.m.  The ceremony will start promptly at 10:00 am.
          

Post-Commissioning Reception
Hosted by the RAFAEL PERALTA Commissioning Committee
Invitation not required.  Open to all attendees at Commissioning Ceremony
Date/Time:    Saturday, July 29, 2017, immediately following ceremony
Place:             Commissioning pier

Tours of USS RAFAEL PERALTA will be available for Commissioning Ceremony Attendees following the Commissioning Ceremony.  

 



Ship Tour/Visit Requirements: No open toed shoes, backpacks, large bags, baby strollers or walkers.  Everyone must be ambulatory and able to walk up and down several flights of stairs.  There are NO handicap devices onboard to assist guests.

Pier Security Requirements:

All guests will pass through a security checkpoint upon entering the pier.  Security precautions mandate that all invited guests are required to have a federal or state issued photo identification card (example: military identification, driver’s license, passport, etc.) for port access.  Children under 16 are exempt with an adult escort.  Please have your photo ID and tickets/invitation available upon arrival.

The security checkpoint will include metal detectors, bag inspections and military working dogs.  Guests are asked not to bring large bags, backpacks or coolers.  However, small diaper bags and purses will be allowed.  All bags, purses, wallets, backpacks, coats, etc. are subject to search for weapons, explosives, and contraband.  No weapons including knives or sharp pointed objects are allowed at any commissioning event.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding regarding these procedures required by the U.S. Navy for your safety, the safety of the crew, and the protection of the newest commissioned warship afloat.  In order for the security process to flow smoothly and for you and your guests, please be ready for these security checks and arrive early (especially for the ceremony).
