For many of the crewmembers on the future USS RAFAEL PERALTA, training in the snow is a new and novel experience. Since Delivery, the crew has been training and getting ready for their upcoming certifications. They need to certify the many of their different teams (Engineering, shiphandling, and the crew itself) before they can sail away from Bath Maine. For those of us who've precom'd a ship, we know it is a long and grueling process of many, many drills each day; long nights working on administration (to make sure the paperwork is all correct), and getting used to a new ship. And then, doing it in the snow and cold wind...definitely tough! Keep charging TEAM LAVA DOG!
